Jacobim Mugatu, Me, & Stu.
Not gonna lie, I don’t have much this week. I had to present a graphic design project yesterday about the environmental impact of fast fashion. I went to class dressed as Zoolander villain, Jacobim Mugatu. This was not intentional, I didn’t realize the irony until I was in class with space buns in my hair talking about the damage of unethical fashion, while dressed as an unethical fashion villain.
This week I am going to recommend the funniest movies I’ve ever seen.
WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS (Streaming on Amazon.) I’ve seen this movie ~111 times. I love it. It’s about vampires in New Zealand who do sensual choreography for each other and knit scarves for their human friend Stu who has rosacea.
ZOOLANDER (Streaming on Amazon.) This powerful fashion documentary explores how the secret intelligence agencies of the world brainwash male models to assassinate world leaders. It also covers the devastating 2001 environmental accident at a New York gas station that resulted in the death of Alexander Skarsgaard. Orange mocha frappucino gas explosions are no joke.
And lastly, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN (Streaming on MAX), directed by Mel Brooks the funniest and smartest human to ever live, and Gene Wilder who was very talented and also very hot. I listed “talented” first because I’m respectful.
YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN & WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS are also great Halloween-esque movies. I believe this holiday lasts beyond October 31st, it is my Christmas.
