Bra Fitting: If you require bras, get a proper bra fitting at a store, turns out I was very much wearing the wrong size in every way and I have a confidence boost now that I learned how a bra works, at the age of 32. A mom I nanny for recommended Bravissimo in the UK, their blog is helpful too. The American = seem to be Nordstrom or Soma.
Screen blockers: I ordered this BRICK app blocker, it hasn’t arrived yet, but I’m super excited, it was created by 2 Gen-Zers and limits screen time and specific apps far more intensely than the settings thing on the iPhone I always ignore… I would love to finish one of the 4 books I’m currently “reading,” and I think this might help.
Lint rollers: I’m sorry a lot of this week’s suggestions cost money, but in a world where we’re constantly guilted for our consumption while the 1% flies private and sails mega yachts, sometimes you have to find what works for you to stay sane. Tidiness has a big impact on my mood and I’ve found lint rollers help me keep my house clean. There are long extendable ones to help with back pain. Yes, there will be throw away pieces of sticky paper, but the individual is not solely responsible for all the damage done to the earth. If using a disposable sheet of paper to remove some cat hair from the house makes your life easier, just do it.
Thinking about her, applying lip gloss at a protest in Tbilisi, Georgia last year. I don’t understand what lip gloss does, but here I see not only its potential, but its power.
This thing can be filled up with dish soap and then you can wash dishes really easily. I’m finding little quick cheats like that are helping me, I used to forget to unload the dishwasher (I recognize I have dishwasher privilege) for ages and then I wouldn’t have any forks, now I just wash the thing immediately after I eat and let it air dry. If it were up to me my counters would have nothing on them, not even appliances, but I’m trying to accept that homes inevitably look lived in when a human (and cat) live in them.
The joy of little beverages: She definitely doesn’t want me doing this, but I’m being cringe and proud, my sister founded and runs an ethically sourced tea business and ships in the US, link here: Teahouse Brewing Company.
I hope everyone sleeps a lot this week! :)

Omg yes to all of these. I love Soma bras in the US (I also went to get measured and realized I was wearing the wrong size the whole time. Also, "sister sizes" are a thing??? who knew).
I got the Brick too and it's been soooo helpful, especially with doomscrolling before bed and after waking up. I have it set on a schedule to automatically block apps during the night and unlocking at a certain time in the morning.
And I love the dish soap thing but for my shower!! I just keep one in my shower filled with soapy water so I can clean my shower as needed while I'm in it.
And I'll def check out your sister's tea business!! Love the recs
